UPC Zoom Bloom game
It's a common challenge for many brands to enthuse and engage their staff with their internal communication media. Internal emails especially are mostly ignored and deleted, as their content is often uninteresting and their design uninviting.

UPC had just such a problem. Their main aim was to communicate to their staff, that when they talk to their customers, they should speak with a clear, simple and jargon-free tone of voice. They asked venturethree to come up with ideas to address this. Amongst others, they put forward a concept to create a viral flash game, where the user navigates the UPC bloom through a typographic 'cloud of complexity'. From this users could click through to their newsletter to discover more.

Venturethree then came to us to develop the concept further, from initial storyboards, to visualisation, user interaction, and finally through to the programming and execution. Our main aim was to make the game addictive but still achievable. We also wanted the final game to keep the integrity of the bloom's behavior - making sure it has the grace, flow and personality of their original animated mark.
