...illustrated IBM’s data flow expertise, at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club, through an interactive web portal installation.
IBM wanted to revitalise their hospitality suite at
Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club. Working alongside
Silver Leopard LLP, kin created an interactive through which IBM could tell their 17 year sponsorship story, as Wimbledon's core technology providers. They're also the innovators behind such technologies as the service speed radar, Hawkeye empire technology, plus providing live stats for the TV commentary teams, and a host external websites and
Second Life platforms that let the world know the scores before the real empires announce them.
Kin created an experience that allowed the visitors to seemless connect to these IBM data services via a wireless tablet PC. The feed from the tablet was relayed to a large plasma screen display, embedded inside a light box wall. Visitors were free to walk around the space with the tablet, exploring IBM's external websites, internal commentary systems and live camera feeds, scores and statistics from all the courts.
